Winter fun in Vinschgau

In winter our region offers snow-sure ski slopes, cross-country trails and toboggan runs. A few kilometers from our Hof am Schloss there are wonderful ski resorts. Spend your winter holiday in Vinschgau with us and let yourself be enchanted by the winter wonderland.

Skiing fun at its best

From our farm some known ski regions can be easily reached. In Sulden, that you can reach for free catching the ski-bus starting directly under the farm, you will find fantastic conditions (Madrisch, Rosim cabin, pulpit lift and Langenstein). Some 40 km of slopes for different requirements fulfill almost all desires. Trafoi, homeland of the World and Olympic champion Gustav Thöni, at the bottom of Ortler group, offers a very family friendly ski resort. In the opposite direction there is Schöneben, a ski area not far from Reschenpass, which is a good tip, because it is known for its excellent snow conditions. Further ski areas for unlimited winter fun in Vinschgau aree Watles and St. Valentin.

Cross-country skiing and ice skating in a romantic winter landscape

For cross-country skiers, our region is also a paradise and with enough snow the first trails start already near the farm. We recommend also the perfectly groomed trails in Schlinig which are well known for various championships and those on Reschenpass, Sulden or in the nearby Switzerland.

Might you prefer to pirouette? This too is not a problem because the distance to the ice rink is only two kilometers. A special experience is certainly skating on the frozen Reschensee.

Sledding has got a long tradition here

Sledding has a long tradition here with us in South Tyrol and in friendly company makes really fun. You cannot miss to experience it in a winter holiday in Vinschgau. If there is enough snow in the valley, the snow fun begins already at doorstep. On our big lawn, it can be wonderfully tobogganing on some shorter trails. That’s always a huge fun for the whole family. Those who want to enjoy the downhill, can make the ascent quite comfortably by train at Watles. Vinschgau will entertain you also with illuminated toboggan runs at night!
